Nioh 3, despite being an action RPG with semi-open world design, isn't a game that features some particular puzzles, because it seems the focus of Team Ninja was on other areas like flawless combat and fantastic exploration.
However, from time to time, you'll come across a puzzle or two to keep you in form, like the one you'll encounter inside the Maisaka region, featuring the Six Jizo collectible.
Normally, those collectibles are as simple as praying in front of them, and by doing so, you'll get the Jizo Merits, which can be used in shrines to upgrade Jizo Blessing (the life mechanics tied to the Crucible world). However, this particular Six Jizo is broken, and once you try to pray next to them, the game will inform you that something is missing. Here is the solution to this small puzzle.
How to reach Six Jizo in Maisaka
If your exploration level in this region is high enough (level 3 at least), you'll see Six Jizo on your map; however, reaching this site is harder than you might think. To reach it, you'll have to activate a mechanism located to the right of the Water Mill shrine, which will lower the dam and allow you to cross a small bridge.
Once on the other side of the bridge, go up the hill, but be aware of a couple of very strong enemies, with the Crucible Wraith being one of them. Once you defeat the enemies, stand in front of the Jizo statues and try to pray; the game will inform you that something is missing.
How to make the Jizo statues work
Next to the Jizo statues is an enterable house. If you want, you can enter it and pick up the loot from within, but be careful because the Crucible Wraith lurks above the chest. Use the ranged weapons to ambush it, and then fast attacks to quickly dispose of it.
Out of the house, just in front of the door, is a huge rock. Climb on this rock and pick up the Jizo head lying on top of it. Bring that head to the Jizo statues, and once the prompt appears, install it. Once you do that, you'll be able to pray in front of it and pick up 50 Jizo Merits.
Wrap things up in Water Mill
Once you get this collectible, do not leave just yet. Instead, go to the other side of the dam and activate another part of it. By doing so you'll drain the water from the mill area, allowing you to use the ladder and explore it further. Get down the ladder, loot all the corpses, and make your way to the torii gate on a small island.
Jump across to a small case and activate one more Crucible Wraith fight. Once you defeat it, loot everything from the cave and return up the ladder. This will clear this area, which was under water, giving you some nice loot.
