Marathon is a newly released PvPvE extraction shooter from Bungie. The game is set in a futuristic post-apocalyptic setting, where players must head outside to scavenge items, complete contracts, and fight other players doing the same.
Scavenging and storing essential items and materials in your vault is a core mechanic of the game. The vault is your official stash in the game which houses everything you decide to store for your use in-game.
If you're running out of vault space constantly, then here's a quick guide on how you can increase your vault size in Marathon.
How to Increase Vault Size in Marathon
The first thing you need for increasing your vault size in Marathon is unlocking Factions. Once you have unlocked Factions, head to the CyberAcme Faction Skill Tree, then purchase the "Expansion" upgrades.
There are a total of five upgrades you need to complete to reach your final vault size. Here's a look at all the stages and everything you need to increase your vault size in Marathon:
- CyberAcme Rank 3 - 64 slots
- 2,500 credits
- 12 Unstable Diodes
- CyberAcme Rank 7 - 64 slots
- 4,000 credits
- 22 Unstable Diodes
- 12 Unstable Gunmetals
- CyberAcme Rank 12 - 48 slots
- 5,000 credits
- 27 Unstable Diodes
- 15 Unstable Gunmetals
- CyberAcme Rank 18 - 32 slots
- 7,000 credits
- 30 Unstable Diodes
- 18 Unstable Gunmetals
- CyberAcme Rank 28 - 32 slots
- 10,000 credits
- 50 Unstable Diodes
- 30 Unstable Gunmetals
Once you start your grind of increasing your vault size in Marathon, make sure to track your resources through the upgrade tab. As you start tracking resources you need, you will see a sign on the material.
As for earning credits faster, there is no optimal method. From what I understand, the best way to make credits faster without anything at stake is going for rook runs. During your rook runs, prioritise venturing into high-value loot areas to get your hands on more valuable items.
