Marathon: Protect Destroy [1/5] Quest Guide

Protect/Destroy is a series of contracts you need to complete for the MIDA faction in Marathon. In Protect Destroy [1/5], you need to disrupt the UESC's experiments by destroying lab equipment in Dire Marsh's Quarantine, then steal a sample of the biohazard and deliver it to a DCON terminal. Thanks to Buincey on YouTube, we were able to get a clear outline of the contract.

Here's how you can complete all the objectives in the Protect/Destroy [1/5] contract.

Destroy the biosample analyzer inside West Quarantine

Make your way to the Quarantine area in Dire Marsh, then head to the south-west part of the area and up to the second floor. You will find the biosample analyser marked with a green icon. Destroy it with your gun to complete this objective.

Simply shoot the biosample analyser to destroy it and source the biohazard sample.

Acquire USEC Biohazard Sample

After destroying the biosample analyser, it will drop a biohazard sample. Pick it up and store it in your backpack. As there is no safe pocket system in Marathon, make sure to stay alive with the biohazard sample before delivering it to the DCON.

Deliver sample to DCON

After acquiring the sample, make your way to a DCON to deliver it. There is a DCON just behind Quarantine, head to it and put the biohazard sample inside to complete the contract.

Deliver the biohazard sample to the DCON located just behind Quarantine.

This is a very straightforward contract, and you don't have to engage in any gunfight to complete it. However, keep your eyes peeled, as other players might also come to this area for completing the contract.
