Twin Manors is one of the locations the players will need to visit in order to obtain samples for curing the Red Rabies in Jagged Alliance 3 but this quaint location has a secret of its own.
The doctor there is not really keen on other humans, especially the two families inhabiting the manors that were purchased from his family.
Now there are two dead bodies on the stage, dead, as a play about a tragic couple from Verona took a tragic turn itself.
How to solve the Twin Manors murders
You will need to pass Wisdom and Medicine checks, requiring 80 points in each to investigate the crime scene. You will find that one of the victims was shot by a 9mm hollow point round while the other died of Strychnine poisoning.
If you interview Doctor L'Enfer about the murders, he will confirm that this has been happening for a while and it's always one shooting victim and one that died of poisoning, but never one that was both shot and poisoned.
Move your squad into each manor, investigating and looting the clues along the way and you will figure out that Le Domas house has access to Strychnine and Van Tassels have a lot of 9mm Hollow Point ammo.
After collecting those clues, you can go back to the doctor and tell him you have a suspect. He will gather both families and at this point it would be wise to place your squad members in positions that encircle both groups. Setting up a machine gun that overlooks both groups is heavily recommended.
Use one squad member to speak with the doctor and you will have multiple options who to accuse:
- Van Tassels
- Le Domas
- Vengeful spirits (doesn't do anything)
- The doctor (not the culprit)
- Say that families were killing each other (the correct deduction)
If you say the doctor did it, you will do a bad deed and get $10,000 for it as the families execute him on the spot.
If you outed the families as the collective murderers, they will prepare to fight each other AND you. All of the gathered NPCs will become hostile. After you clear them out, you will get a lot of reputation and the mystery will be solved.
