If characters and objects appear in blue and yellow in Hogwarts Legacy, that means you have set High Contrast Gameplay to ON. Here's how to revert to the default option.
Hogwarts Legacy players have been reporting an unusual graphical effect since the game launched into early access on PC , PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S . Basically, the game makes characters look blue while important objects are highlighted with a strong yellow colour, as you can see in our screenshot above.
We can confirm that this is not a bug, it's an actual feature in Hogwarts Legacy, to help people with disability enjoy this Harry Potter RPG from Warner Bros. Games.
If you don't need this feature, here's how you can turn it off.
How to turn off blue and yellow characters and objects in Hogwarts Legacy?
Simply open up Settings in the main menu, then go to Accessibility Options and scroll down until the very end of the list where you'll find the High Contrast Gameplay option. Set it to off and your game should now have a default look.
It's possible that you've accidentally turned this option ON during the initial set-up that pops up when your first start the game. But anyway, this is certainly not a glitch and it's a very useful option that many people will appreciate. We salute Avalanche for implementing it.
