Medallions were added to Fortnite with the start of Chapter 5. The medallion is a perk-boosting token that can be obtained by eliminating the bosses on the map. These medallions boost different stats or provide gradual health recovery once equipped.
In Chapter 5 Season 1, Epic Games introduced Medallions alongside the High Society bosses. While medallions were not received with open arms at the beginning of Season 1, they quickly became a massive part of the meta. So, considering the popularity and effectiveness of medallions in Fortnite, Epic Games has decided to add new medallions in the Chapter 6 Season 1 update.
All New Medallions in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1
Epic Games added three new Fortnite medallions with the Chapter 6 Season 1 update. There were no boss medallions in Chapter 2 Remix. Here's a look at the new medallions and how they work in Fortnite.
Wanderer Medallion
The Wanderer Medallion is obtainable by eliminating Shogun X on the roaming version of Chapter 6 Season 1 loot island. The Wanderer Medallion gives players infinite stamina and invisibility while sprinting. This is currently the best medallion in the game, as it grants players the ability to move without worrying about their stamina. Morever, the invisibility perk helps players get out of gunfights quickly.
Night Rose Medallion
The Night Rose Medallion is obtainable by eliminating Night Rose at Demon Dojo. The Night Rose Medallion enables auto-reload on all player weapons. While the medallion's perk is very useful, it is quite undewhelming compared to the Wanderer Medallion, which is probably the ideal choice for most players regardless of the game mode.
While the medallions in Chapter 5 Season 1 granted players shield regeneration abilities, the medallions in Chapter 6 Season 1 will not feature any healing capabilities. However, picking up a medallion will reveal your location on the map as usual. Stacking up the medallions will not add benefits in Chapter 6 Season 1.
