After completing the Friend to the Critters quest and receiving the critter net as a reward from Mel, the next chapter of your adventure in Fae Farm unfolds: the 'Careful Catching' quest. It's the natural progression after a quick chat with Mel.
In this quest, you're tasked with a mission: gathering four critters for Mel's collection. These critters can take the form of moths, fireflies, bees, frogs, butterflies, or snails, and while it might seem like a difficult task to do, they are not too elusive and you'll find them scattered about in the area you're currently exploring.
Walking around a little bit will guarantee a few critters for you to catch so don't be disheartened.
To capture these little wonders, equip your newly acquired net. On your controller, simply press R1 L1, or use the scroll wheel (M3) on your mouse. Keep a keen eye out for critters that come into proximity – they'll give you a blue flash as a sign that they're ready to be caught. To capture one, just press Square on your controller or right-click with your mouse.
Once you've collected all four critters, make your way back to Mel, where you can embark on the next leg of your journey and continue your farming adventure. The next quest, Hard-Earned Florins, follows up upon the completion of Careful Catching. It's all part of the enchanting world of Fae Farm, where each quest brings you closer to becoming a skilled farmer.
