Fae Farm: How to complete the Opening the Paths quest
The thorns are the first threat in Fae Farm
The thorns are the first threat in Fae Farm

Join Alaric on a quest to clear the map of menacing thorns, armed with a simple magic staff. Once the thorns have been defeated, Chapter 1 ends and greater things are going to come to Fae Farm, are you ready?

Fae Farm is not just a farming sim, it's also a storybook. And just like every storybook, there are villains that need defeating. Our first "villain" appears in the Opening the Paths quest, coincidentally, the final quest of chapter 1.

The villain in question are thorns that are blocking your path to greater and better things Fae Farm has to offer so here is how to defeat them and complete the Opening the Paths quest.

How to complete Opening the Paths

When you wake up you’ll be given a little story about how to defeat the thorns with magic. When you leave the storybook and your back in the house Alaric gifts you with a simple magic staff. Which you can now go around the map and smash the thorns giving you more space to explore!

You can do this by pressing square on the controller or right-clicking on your mouse near the thorns. Once you’ve got either all of them or as many as you wish (can be even 1 if you want), you can go back to Alaric and collect your reward.

Even though the thorns are a threat to Fae Farm, they still don't looks that intimidating

Alaric can be located on the map if you just look for his name, he changes his location a lot. Once you speak to him you’ve completed chapter 2!

If you want to move to the next chapter fast you can just go to sleep or you can spend the rest of the day doing whatever you like. My advice would be to always try to get a few things on the market table to sell as it builds up your coins slowly day by day.
