During the mission "The End of the Line," you will get separated from Emma and Sam and take your own path through the metro area. Among the many zombies you will encounter in the metro, Vicious Butcher will be extremely hard to defeat.
Vicious Butcher is a regular butcher zombie with much faster movements and an extreme damage rate. If he manages to hit you even once, your chances of survival are next to none.
Even the regular butchers are formidable foes, so if you are not level 22 or above, you should not start this mission. However, if you are already there, do not despair; there is a way to easily defeat Vicious Butcher without even breaking a sweat. We will show you how in this guide.
How to easily defeat Vicious Butcher
Once you emerge from the vents into a room full of pipes, Vicious Butcher will be eating his meal on the opposite side of the room. You can try and use the same evasion tactics as with the other butchers, but keep in mind that if he hits you, it is almost certain game over for you.
The best method to defeat him will be to simply provoke him to chase you and then enter the vents you just came from. For some unknown reason, he cannot follow you through the vents.

Now simply take some ranged weapon—we used a nailgun—and aim for his head, but wait for him to drop the guard, or else he will just deflect the bullets, or nails in our case. Find the spot where you will be able to impose critical damage on him, and after some time, Vicious Butcher will not be that vicious any longer.
