We had fun playing the Street Kid in CP 2077 - one of the three available life paths player selects at the beginning. The game steers you just enough to properly experience the story, but also gives you freedom to enjoy its sandbox environment.
We had a quick run through Cyberpunk 2077 and the community was not exaggerating about the its bugs. Oh my, the bugs! But there's nothing you can really do about it, but wait for patches. More about bugs in the screen shots below. Here is what we thought when we played the game:
How can I raise FPS in Cyberpunk 2077?
If you have low-tier GPU, then go low on the settings – the game still looks gorgeous. The rig we used was i5-4690K, 16GB RAM, 500GB SSD WD Blue and 4GB RX-480, and played on medium and high settings with solid 45-60 FPS. There was an occasional stuttering, but only when driving in 3rd person perspective through some dense city areas.
How to distribute skill points, so I don’t regret our decisions later?
We found out early about tabula e-rasa (an item that allows you to reset your skill tree, which can be purchased at a ripperdoc’s), but the price of the item seemed steep early in the game, as it took a while to accumulate several thousand Eurodollars, not to mention €$100,000.00, which is the price of the item.
By the time we actually decided to make a proper build, we were already at level 35, and decided not to do it anyways – see how long we last. As far as the gameplay goes, there is more than one way to skin a cat – the simplest and easiest ways to complete gigs usually require certain skills, but there’s always a workaround if you lack the required skill.
How to holster a weapon in Cyberpunk 2077?
Double tap ‘alt’ key, or whichever key is assigned to draw weapon. I’ve seen some streamers play with their weapon drawn whole the time; but in some areas of the city, police or gang members will consider this a threat and attack you.
Can I own the car I steal in Cyberpunk 2077?
No. You must either earn or purchase a car to own it. It's quite satisfying when you find or someone gives you their ride.
Can I mod cars in Cyberpunk 2077?
No!
Can I ride on the subway in Cyberpunk 2077?
Yes and no. You can literally ride it - climb the rails and then wait for the train to come and jump on it. Your best bet would be to find the tracks that go under a viaduct. Since the train is not meant to be used this way in the game and is only there as part of the ambience, it will disappear and spawn randomly; therefore, expect to fall off often.
However, since jobs are triggered by locations player visits and are marked in journal, this is a good way to activate some side gigs you might not have picked up earlier. Travelling using the blue fast travel points on the map is basically taking the city’s transit system.
Can my character have an intimate relationship with an NPC in Cyberpunk 2077?
Yes, this game is out there when it comes to sex, but player has to complete several jobs with the NPC and the NPC needs to be actually playing for the right team (sexual orientation) in order for the romantic dialogue to pop-up in the conversation.
Can I deselect a job in Cyberpunk 2077?
Player can switch to a different job, or turn off job tracker in the settings but cannot deselect a job in the journal.
Where is the quick load key in Cyberpunk 2077?
There isn’t one. There is a quick save button, but not a quick load button. Maybe this will be addressed in the new patch – fingers crossed.
How do I get the Turbo-R V-Tech Quadra from the trailer in Cyberpunk 2077?
You need to complete ‘Life’s Work’ gig. You will start the quest by receiving the message ‘Jake’s Masterpiece’ from Sebastian ‘‘Padre’’ Ibarra. After completing the gig, Jake Estavez will send you a message, gifting you the car. The job can be started by visiting McBride St. Keep in mind, though, she’s difficult to handle, and that’s why I named mine after my wife.
What is street credit in Cyberpunk 2077?
It’s the respect NPCs have for your character - the higher the street credit, the more gigs, weapons, cybernetics will be available to you.
What are quickhack components in Cyberpunk 2077?
Quickhack components are used to craft cyberware and quickhacks in the crafting menu.
What are Edgerunner, Shadows of the Past, and Down to the Wire in the character menu of Cyberpunk 2077?
This is basically reputation, relationship with Johnny and - even though all three cards play the role in this – the third card is chance to get out alive at the end if you start the final mission at that point.
Does the game end with the final quest?
Completing the main story can be done fairly quickly; game will acknowledge your completion of the main story and take you back to the last save before you started the final quest. You can then continue roaming the Night City, after you have finished the main story.
We played the game on version 1.06, and there is loads of speculation about patch 1.07 and that it’s about to be a big one; but there is nothing official from CDPR, yet. All we can do is wait. In any case, we'll be updating the article with more of whats and hows appropriately. Stay tuned.
