Hollow Knight: Silksong is finally here, or at least it will be on September 4, and after such a long wait, the fans will be able to play the sequel to one of the hardest and most challenging Souls-likes and Metroidvania-likes ever made.
The fans are so eager for the game to arrive that many are wondering if there is a way to preorder the game because it will hit many platforms once it is out; more precisely, it will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC via Steam, GOG, and Humble Store, Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox consoles with the day-one Game Pass addition, but wherever you look, the option for pre-order is just non-existent.
If you're wondering, why is that? The answer is, unfortunately, very simple. It is because you cannot pre-order Hollow Knight: Silksong.
All the platforms Hollow Knight: Silksong is arriving on simply don't have the pre-order option. We cannot claim that this will be the case all the time until the official release on September 4, 2025. This will probably change, and at some point, the pre-orders will become a thing; however, as for right now, it is simply not an option.
The closest thing to preordering the game is adding it to the 'Play Later' section on Game Pass, provided you have this subscription active. This action will download the game as soon as the pre-load becomes available, so you don't have to check manually for the availability all the time.
Although Hollow Knight: Silksong is an indie title and doesn't belong to the group of those 'Big Releases', it is still one of the most anticipated games among the fans, and we simply cannot wait to lose our nerves one more time with our cute hero and not-so-cute bosses of Hollow Knight: Silksong.
