Legendary weapons are the strongest in each of their classes in Baldur's Gate 3, which is probably the thing you will need to keep repeating to yourself after having to deal with one of the most obnoxious characters in the game.
In order to obtain the Legendary trident, Nyrulna, you will have to enter the circus that can be accessed as soon as Act 3 kicks off.
The entrance is easy to spot due to a ghoul sniffing people and acting like security.
Once you're inside the circus, seek out the loud Djinni that is running the wheel of fortune. Talk to him and he will let you know a spin will cost 500 gold. Pay and spin the wheel.
During the spin, you will be close to winning the jackpot but your character will also notice he is cheating after a ring in his beard starts glowing. Do not verbally confront him with this newfound knowledge. He will just turn you into a cheese wheel.
Instead, grab the character with the highest Sleight of Hand bonus on your team, position them behind the Djinni, activate sneak and then pickpocket him.
Steal only the Djinni Ring.
When you get the ring, we would suggest using the same character, the one with Sleight of Hand, to talk with Djinni again. Spin the wheel once more and it will stop at the jackpot this time around.
He will accuse you of cheating and it doesn't matter what you answer with, he will teleport your character to a jungle with raptors in it.
The best way to get out of it is to just sneak from the starting point straight to the portal you can see immediately. If you linger, the chances of the patrolling raptors spotting you will grow.
When you reach the portal, you will notice a chest next to it. It has DC 20 so that Sleight of Hand proficiency will be the MVP on this one. Open the chest and you will be able to loot Nyrulna.
