Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is getting a major update this December, and it’s one that fans have been asking for. Ubisoft has confirmed that on December 5, players will be able to experience the game from a third-person perspective and dive back in with a New Game+ mode that ups the difficulty while letting you keep all your gear.
3rd Person Mode Features Reworked Animations
The biggest headline feature is the addition of a fully optional third-person camera, giving players the chance to explore the lush alien world of Pandora from a new angle.
According to Ubisoft, this mode wasn't just a switch of the button for the devs - it includes reworked animations and updated camera systems to ensure a smooth, immersive experience that feels natural both in combat and traversal.
For players who struggled with motion sickness in first-person or simply prefer seeing their character in action, this will be a welcome change.
New Game+
Also coming in the December 5 update is New Game+, designed for players who’ve already completed the campaign but want to take on a greater challenge. This mode features tougher enemies, but lets you carry over your items and skills - giving you a reason to return to Pandora’s biomes with all your upgrades intact.
It’s an ideal way to experiment with different playstyles, challenge yourself on higher difficulties, or just re-experience the story without starting from scratch.
This update marks the biggest post-launch addition to Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora since its release, and shows Massive's commitment to make this action-adventure the best game it can be. Kudos to that.
