After the whole "kidnapping" shenanigans and the recent lore update from Respawn Entertainment, Alter again has everyone talking about her after Teq's social media post on X, which instantly went viral.
How does the Alter and Crypto combo work in Apex Legends?
Teq's video showcased just how powerful the combination of Alter and Crypto is in Apex Legends Season 21. In the clip, Teq's team uses Alter’s Void Passage tactical ability to ambush squads and catch them off guard.
Before these ambushes, Crypto deploys his Drone EMP Ultimate to slow down the enemy squad and deal significant damage to their shields.
This strategy proved effective multiple times, as Teq’s clip featured over five different skirmishes where the opposing squads were wiped out. Although Crypto was sometimes downed in the ensuing fights, the tactic consistently led to victory.
Fans in the comments acknowledged the combo's strength. One user remarked, "Yeah, we’ll need Wattson's Ult to shoot Crypto drones now lol this entry is unbeatable fr,” while another added, “Breach and clear is broken with this combo, man.”
As the new Legend introduced in Season 21, many community members appreciated that Alter wasn’t overpowered upon release. TSM pro player ImperialHal commented that while he doesn’t foresee Alter making a significant impact in competitive play, the character seems fun for public matches.
