SIE Santa Monica's God of War has absolutely dominated the Bafta Games Awards, winning in five categories including the Audio Achievement, Music, Narrative, Performer and the Best Game. Red Dead Redemption 2 failed to win a single award.

PlayStation 4 exclusive God of War has won its fourth major Game of the Year award at Bafta Games Awards 2019 last night - 04 April 2019. SIE Santa Monica's action-adventure won the trophy in front of Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Return of the Obra Dinn, Red Dead Redemption 2, Celeste and Astro Bot Rescue Mission.

God of War also took four other trophies including Audio Achievement, Music, Narrative and the Best Performer award which went to Jeremy Davies who played The Stranger aka Baldur.

And while God of War took the spotlight once again, one of the biggest disappointments of the night is certainly Rockstar's mammoth Red Dead Redemption 2. The critically acclaimed action adventure did not win a single award despite being nominated in six categories - Artistic Achievement, Audio Achievement, Best Game, British Game, Narrative and Performer.

As you can notice, Red Dead Redemption 2 was beaten by God of War in four categories, a similar story to previous games awards shows where Rockstar's title came behind Kratos and his boy most of the time.

Other notable winners include Return of the Obra Dinn, which took two awards - Artistic Achievement and Game Design for its unique look and gameplay. Fortnite also took another award after winning a couple of them this year. Epic's battle royale was voted as the best Evolving Game.

Forza Horizon 4 won the best British Game award while EA's A Way Out is the best Multiplayer creation. As for the mobile games, Jagex's port of Old School Runescape beat Pokemon Go, Clash Royale and Fortnite to become the best mobile title.

Nintendo's toys to life concept Labo is the biggest innovation of the year, while story-driven nurture title My Child Lebensborn took the Games Beyond Entertainment award.
