Telstra, Australian largest telecommunications company have sent out a message to those who had registered interest in the Xbox Series X saying that pre-orders for the console "will open soon".

Both Microsoft and their fierce rival Sony are yet to unveil the price of their next-generation consoles Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, respectively. Rumour has it, both companies will host major events this month where they plan to finally talk about the pricing and pre-order dates.

And it looks like that might indeed be the case, at least for Microsoft, judging by the latest text message from Australian largest telecommunications company Telstra, who notified their customers of Xbox Series X pre-order. As you can see from the screenshot, a message from Telstra clearly states that Xbox Series X pre-orders will open soon. This suggests that pre-orders could go live this month, potentially on the Xbox live stream, which is scheduled for later this month.

Since Microsoft are yet to officially confirm this, we suggest you take it with a grain of salt, just like any other rumour or unconfirmed info.

Xbox Series X is set to launch sometime during Holiday season 2020. Rumour has it, Microsoft will price their consoles $449 to undercut Sony's rumoured price of $499. On top of this, some reports suggested that Microsoft have a lesser Xbox Series X console in the works, which would be even cheaper, digital-only option aimed at Xbox Game Pass owners.
