Do you remember NinTenno? You've got to give it to Digital Extremes though - when it comes to delivering on promises, they're a top notch bunch and we've learned that Warframe will be landing on Nintendo Switch on 20 November 2018.

Having said that, Digital Extremes didn't really pull it off all by themselves and ended up hiring Panic Button, a studio famous for their expertise in porting titles to Nintendo's little guy. If you've played Rocket League, Wolfenstein or Doom on the Switch, to name but a few, you're already familiar with them, even though their track record spans many more.

I mean, just considering cramming Warframe into the Switch is quite the notion, not least for Nintendo's well established tradition of lagging behind the hardware of their competitors. With Warframe quite likely being one of the most complex games around, they've probably had their work cut out for them.

Nevertheless, DE and Panic Button seem to have pulled it of magnificently and if the trailer is anything to go by, many a Switch will fly off the shelves come November. Naturally, plenty of the trailer footage is pre-rendered stuff but the glimpses of actual gameplay really seem to sparkle, for lack of a better word, which is quite the feat all things considered.

Of course, we'll still reserve our opinion until we've had a proper go at Warframe on the Switch, but it's a bit difficult to contain the excitement, which by the way is mostly due to my assumption that it won't be coming in 2018 for sure. Digital Extremes' of Tenno going NinTenno was made on this year's TennoCon but DE and Panic Button obviously haven't been wasting time.

If you're a Switch owner and aren't familiar with Warframe, it's a co-op shooter similar to Destiny and the upcoming Anthem. With the game's community being a glorious thing to behold for the most part, Nintendo are actually getting a company that matches their preferences perfectly, even if Warframe is a tad bit more violent than they're used to.
