Warhammer 40,000 Inquisitor - Martyr is getting a slew of updates on consoles in order to bring them up to speed with modern standards.
Nacon and NeocoreGames revealed their plans for the close future in W40K: Inquisitor - Martyr , which will mostly focus on bringing the game up to modern standards on consoles.
PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S owners will get the additional features at some point during 2022, including native 4K support, higher resolution textures, improved physics such as destructible environment, cross-gen multiplayer modes and better utilisation of DualSense controllers on PS5.
Additionally, the upgraded version will have all the existing DLC bundled up into a single purchase but it's currently unclear what this could mean for those who have the game but not additional content. There is a total of 25 DLC packs and extensions that have been released to date.
On top of that, the upcoming DLC that will let players jump in as a new Inquisitor class will also be available on current-gen consoles. The new class will be called Sororitas and as the name suggests, she has ties with the Sisters of Battle but now serves as an Inquisitor.
If you're on the fence about the game, keep in mind that the less enthusiastic reviews are tied to the early days of Inquisitor-Martyr, when the game was in a very rough state. It has since received a major overhaul and then a river of updates on top of that, only becoming better as time went on.
