Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr is staying true to the setting's ceaseless war as the devs as throwing in even more Chaos spawn to try and stop you.
Chaos forces in the universe of Warhammer 40,000 tend to come back even after they are dispatched in the most gruesome of ways and Inquisitor - Martyr is no exception to this rule. Whether you slew them with a might melee weapon, shot them up with exquisite ballistics and energy spewers from the Imperium or just let your temporary allies do the work, Chaos forces are once again coming back.
Season of the Empyrean Echoes is bringing stronger enemies of several types and one of them are Revenants who are basically something we encountered before but they are coming back for another spanking. It remains to be seen just how much more powerful they are, compared to their previous incarnations.
The other batch of enemies we will be chewing through are the Empyrean Elites who are also looking for a shortcut to the Sea of Souls. Depending on whether the Void Crusade bugged out and left you lootless, you may or may not have exciting new toys to help you cleanse a sector or two.
Additionally, the new seasonal ladder is now live on PC so if you are looking to measure up against your peers, it could be wise to start off early.
That will also give you a head start on learning the new buffs and spells that will refresh the game mechanics enough for the players' will to return to grind the enemies of humanity to dust once again.
