Warhammer 40K fans will have to wait a bit longer until Darktide comes to consoles but PC players are going to endure some wait as well.

Fatshark had some bad news in store for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide fans as several delays were thrown at them, all at once.

The reason why the delays are happening is that Darktide didn't release in a satisfactory state so the team is still all in on fixing the issues that are plaguing the game.

Of the two major delay announcements, the bigger one pertains to consoles - the release date on Xbox Series X/S is being moved up.

While news of release delays is never pleasant for gamers, people usually show empathy for developers who are scrambling to deliver the content as soon as possible. In this case, console players might actually be glad the delay happened.

Namely, Darktide has Mostly Negative reviews in recent days on Steam due to a whole pile of missing features and broken promises from the period before the PC release.

By the time all the problems on the PC version are fixed, Darktide might actually be in a good shape for the console players to experience for the first time.

As for the PC delay, fixing all the broken promises and so on has caused the dev team to announce seasonal events are currently on hold as well, until the issues have been resolved.

Just how much is missing from the game, you ask? A whole lot and a bit more , according to the players' first-hand accounts.
