PUBG Corp. are bringing back the popular Vikendi map to PUBG this weekend. Starting tomorrow, players will get to parachute into the snowy battle royale arena, which brings several new additions.
PUBG Corp. have announced the return of fan-favourite map Vikendi. The snowy battle royale arena was removed at the beginning of Season 6, when the brand new map Karakin arrived. Since then, the developers have been working hard on minor Vikendi rework, which is set to introduce a couple of neat changes and additions.
Vikendi returns on Friday 06 March 2020 at 16:00 KST / 08:00 CET or Thursday 05 March 23:00 PST, depending on your time zone. The testing period will run for 72 hours, which means you will get to play the revamped Vikendi until Monday 09 March at 16:00 KST / 08:00 CET or Sunday 08 March at 23:00 PST.
The map now features modified terrain, towns, weather, new updated Dinopark and a train, for easier travel around the map. Those who love to hide in Vikendi's deep snow will be disappointed to hear that a large portion of snowfields have been reduced or completely removed from the map.
However, the devs will monitor the feedback in the next few days to apply necessary changes later on before the map officially returns for good in Season 07.
At the moment, the only way to play the game is to join custom games hosted by one of the PUBG Partners.
PUBG Season 6 is set to end in April 2020, when Season 7 will arrive with a fresh batch of content, including the reworked Vikendi.
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
