Vampire: The Masquerade fans can't catch a break as the games in this setting keep getting delayed. Swansong release has also been moved, although for understandable reasons.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong release has been pushed to May 19, 2022. This is a three-month difference from what was previously the goal, as the planned release date was in February 2022. That said, the wait isn't all that much longer but the reason behind it definitely something everyone should understand.

The post that announced the delay noted this is being done in order to retain the work-life balance for the developers, which is not easy, given the intricate nature of the RPG genre.

Considering the development team is not that big, it's possible even the slightest changes are taking much longer than they would a AAA studio. Unfortunately, there wasn't any promotional material attached that would show gameplay or tease more of the content for the game.

Either way, at least we know Swansong is in the last stages of development, unlike Bloodlines 2, which is in some sort of development limbo and it's not even known whether the game will release at all. With the studio change before release, it's also possible the vision will undergo major changes and this might end up releasing as a jumbled mess.

The original Bloodlines was also a troubled release but Troika was never replaced and it's hard to imagine Hardsuit came up with a masterpiece before Paradox benched them. After all, it's Activision who are known for these practices.
