PlayStation 5 owners won't have to wait much longer for the vampire game V Rising, which will be available next month. The vampire MMORPG called V Rising is available in version 1.0 on the PC platform starting this month, while it will debut on PlayStation next month.
The release date of the PS5 version is set for June 11, 2024. However, there will be early access if you buy the €60 Legacy of Castlevania edition, which brings five days of early gameplay. The standard edition will cost 40 euros, or five euros more than the PC version, but with a 10% discount for PS Plus subscribers.
With the launch of version 1.0 at the beginning of this month, V Rising managed to reach 132 thousand simultaneously active players, which is close to the results from 2022, when the game was launched in early access. Player reviews are extremely positive, and V Rising is currently the eighth best-selling game on Steam this month.
In V Rising, players control an undead lord and build their castle and territory. Given the vampire theme, it's only fitting that V Rising has an official collaboration with Castlevania.
Most of this collaboration is cosmetic, with items like Alucard's suits and furniture inspired by Dracula's castle, but it also includes gameplay elements. Players can face Simon Belmont, one of the first protagonists of the Castlevania series. The good news is that players don't have to buy the DLC.
In addition, V Rising won't have cross-play between PC and PS5, and the developer has stated that it's "pretty unlikely" that it ever will. Also, one of the significant advantages of playing on PC is the modding community.
V Rising has mods for PC that change everything from visuals and items to gameplay mechanics.
