Yellow Brick Games is very proud to announce that its newest third-person action-adventure fantasy game, Eternal Strands, will be making its way to Xbox Game Pass immediately upon its release in the first quarter of 2025. This was announced during the event of the Xbox Partner Preview and the game will be available for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC.
The newly released gameplay trailer, Cast & Combine, gave players their first look into some of the unique mechanics of Eternal Strands. The showstoppers are the Highland Iceclaw, a flying Epic that's always in relentless motion.
Players have got to make quick changes between dodging volley after volley of these ice attacks and leaping onto its back with a kinetic boost. Trailers have also shown how magic works in this game; players can cast spells and combine elemental powers such as fire, ice, and kinetric force in customizable combat strategies.
This flexibility will let players develop their fighting style when taking on one of the many enemies of this game, the Arks and Epics, inside the Enclave. Defeating these creatures will reward good resources, also with the chance of re-encountering them in new areas to give good testing ground for trying different tactics.
"We're super stoked to bring Eternal Strands to Game Pass subscribers on day one," says Thomas Giroux, CEO of Yellow Brick Games. "The freedom our 'cast & combine' system allows, together with epic battles, will create memorable experiences. We're excited for players to dive in when it launches early next year."
Alongside its Game Pass launch, Eternal Strands will head to the Epic Games Store. The news came from Unreal Fest in Seattle, where the studio's CTO Louis Tremblay showed off some of the innovative physics systems his team has developed within Unreal Engine 5.
Yep, key features of Eternal Strands include the mix of magic abilities, a destructible environment, the potential for climbing on large foes, and a very vivid world full of secrets to uncover. The interactive world in this game will give unlimited creative opportunities to the players in combat.
