Curve Digital today announced they have acquired Vancouver-based IronOak Games, the independent games developer behind the critically-acclaimed title For The King.
The UK-based publisher Curve Digital have shared some pretty big news today. The company has acquired IronOak Games, who brought us the critically acclaimed RPG For The King.
The publisher say they will continue to collaborate with IronOak Games on the For the King franchise, which has attracted over three million players.
In addition, IronOak Games will begin working on further expanding the For The King IP with Curve Digital but additional details on any potential new titles have not been released. Curve Digital promise announcements a bit later in development, though.
IronOak Games was founded in January 2015 and has previously collaborated with Curve Digital on For the King published for PC in April 2018 and on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch May 2019.
Here's what Simon Byron, Publishing Director at Curve Digital had to say about the acquisition:

It was obvious that the team at IronOak had a lot of great ideas and an amazing amount of potential from our very first meeting and we're looking forward to working alongside them to continue unlocking that potential in the years to come."
IronOak Games' head Gordon Moran said the team is beyond excited to finally embark on brand new projects with Curve Digital who have been instrumental in the success of For The King.
