This weekend, Destiny 2's Trials Labs is accommodating the players who like to go solo into the battle. Players' Trials reputation gains will be doubled during this Freelance Labs weekend.
Today, October 22, we'll see a new Labs weekend in Trials of Osiris. This round of Labs in Destiny 2 will mark the arrival of the Freelance game mode. There are some caveats baked into this weekend's mode on display, namely that you can't queue up for it in a group and your Trials reputation will be doubled.
What is Freelance in Destiny 2
Destiny 2's Freelance is a matchmaking node designed specifically for players who like to go at it solo. No premade fireteams will be allowed to enter. You can find the separate node directly above Trials of Osiris in the Director, and players can proceed with earning Trials reputation and even go for a Flawless run.
While no pre-made teams will be admitted into Freelance, you can still find your squad once inside.
Freelance Labs weekend
Players' Trials reputation gains will be doubled during this Freelance Labs weekend, so your chances of rounding out your Trials-specific armour collection or getting a good roll on any of the weapons Trails has to offer are looking pretty good right about now. Once a full card has been completed, players will earn increased post-game rewards even if they lose a couple of games. Enhancement Prisms, Ascendant Shards, and Trials Engrams all have the chance to drop. Armour drops also have better chances for increased stat rolls.
A new set of Seasonal Challenges
This week's fresh serving of Seasonal Challenges includes Trial by Firing Squad. Completing the challenge means coming out victorious in 20 rounds during the weekend. The reward: Reed's Regret Linear Fusion Rifle, XP, and Bright Dust.
Reed's Regret also unlocks the ability to focus Trials Engrams for more rolls at Saint-14.
