Vista arrives in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Ranked Play on March 25, 2024.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Ranked Play is reportedly receiving two new maps after the latest update. These maps will be officially added to the Ranked Play map pool.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3's most played game mode is Ranked Play. Although Sledgehammer Games is the lead studio of Call of Duty: Modern 3, the Ranked Play mode is curated and led by Treyarch Studios.

After the latest March 13 update, Treyarch shared their plans to add two new maps to the existing Ranked Play map pool. These maps are scheduled to arrive on the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Ranked Play playlist on March 25, 2024.

Upon receiving community feedback on the performance of these maps in Ranked Play, it will be determined if they make their way into the Call of Duty League map pool.

Treyarch confirmed on Twitter that the two new maps will be available for Ranked Play on Monday, March 25, 2024. Vista and Departures will be added to the Ranked Play map pool, so players will see them while playing Hardpoint, Control, or Search and Destroy game modes.

Treyarch has urged players to send in feedback once the two maps are added to Ranked Play to help the studio assess if they can add them to the Call of Duty League's official map pool.

If the maps get a positive response from the community, then it seems like they could replace less popular maps such as Invasion and Terminal in the Ranked Play current map pool.

While new maps in the Ranked Play map pool provide players with a breath of fresh air, it also introduces certain changes to a few Ranked Play game modes. Unfortunately, players unfamiliar with these maps might struggle in Hardpoint and SnD game modes as they require intermediate knowledge of different angles, point rotations, and flanking routes.

However, the inclusion of Vista and Departure will not bring any changes to the weapon loadout meta until Treyarch decides to add weapon balancing changes.
