THQ Nordic have decided to remind everyone of their bad Darksiders puns and therefore made Darksiders Warmastered Edition and Darksiders 2 Deathinitive Editions Xbox One enhanced. Now you have to see these puns in gaming news everywhere.
Darksiders: Warmastered Edition now has support for Xbox One X, meaning the game has received 4K treatment, which is already available for download as a patch. Gunfire Games have stated that Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition will get similar treatment at a later date, which will be closer to Darksiders 3 launch.
Provided players own these games, they will receive the updates for free, but if they didn't get them yet and now suddenly feel enticed to listen Liam O'Brien in the role of War, both games have been added to the list of bonuses for pre-ordering Darksiders 3: Blades & Whip Edition. Call it personal preference, but I liked Michael Wincott's performance as Death better though.
Bear in mind that while we at AltChar like what we have seen of Darksiders 3 so far, we always suggest waiting for reviews and actual gameplay footage of the retail version before purchasing the game. THQ Nordic have already announced two parts of the post-launch content even though Darksiders 3 is still almost a month away from release, which can be a red flag in certain situations.
Meanwhile, PlayStation 4 versions of the games had the 4K support for a while, although Xbox One X versions will get native 4K instead of checkerboard. It is quite interesting to see the games being Xbox One X enhanced now as this means Warmastered and Deathinitive editions each received a second facelift on the console, since they themselves are remasters of the vanilla Darksiders and Darksiders 2.

Let's hope that Darksiders 3's graphics age better than those of its predecessors, because there are only so many bad puns in remaster names we can handle. What would they call it anyway, Darksiders 3: Furynitive Edition? Fumastered? Have mercy, THQ.
