Massive Entertainment announced that the second season of The Division 2: Warlords of New York is now live with a new season pass, progression and events.
Keener's Legacy title refers to the work that the fallen First Wave agent's accomplices are continuing after his death. This second season of the year will have time-limited activities that will span 12 weeks, each lasting one or two weeks.
Those looking for new progression can look forward to more Seasonal Levels as another 100 have been added. Keep in mind that the levels earned in the first season have no effect on the progression here. Each rank will bring gear, cosmetics, gear sets and two Exotics.
One sort of new addition are the Field Proficiency Caches which were available before WoNY as well. Therefore, they are along the lines of returning content rather than brand new. These will be awarded after the 100 levels have been completed so the players still have some rewards left for their grind.
Seasonal manhunts will continue with Termite, Luna, Huntsman and Titan being the four lieutenants players need to take down before going up against Hornet, who they faced previously in the original Division. Finishing the manhunt will award a new skill variant, the Repair Trap.
Season two will have four new leagues that will let players compete through time-attacks and other activities. These leagues will have rewards of their own, with each lasting for two weeks and yielding up to 10 rewards based on how well the players perform.
Global Events are coming back with the standard one week format. Players who don't wish to participate can toggle them off in order not to have the modifiers meddling with their gameplay. A total of three events will be coming back - Polarity Switch, Reanimated and Guardians while Hollywood will be the new one on the scene. Each event has up to 10 rewards for the taking, in case you perform well enough.
Phoenix Dawn is a new apparel event that is coming in this season and is set to start on July 14. It will wrap up on August 4, 2020, and will have the regular Apparel Event rules.
