As any good live service game, Helldivers 2 too needs to have a steady flow of content if relevancy is what this shooter from Sony and Arrowhead is striving for.
And while the official seasonal roadmap is yet to be unveiled by the developers, who are currently busy fixing various issues and bugs that were spotted since launch, leaks have been abundant so we at least know of some new content that is potentially in the pipeline.
The latest leak comes from YouTuber GameOverDeo who revealed some pretty exciting details on some of the already leaked stuff like vehicles and new weapons. The YouTuber explained how players will be able to call in for vehicles, use them, what are their weak points and much more. Keep in mind that none of this is officially announced by the developers. It's just a leak so take it with a grain of salt as plans change all the time and some of this content below may never see the light of the day.
What are the new upcoming weapons for Helldivers 2?
Here is the list of equipment and weaponry revealed in the latest leak:
- Arc-12 Blitzer Shotgun
- Armoured Buggy
- B-1 Supply Pack Backpack item
- BX-7 Displacer Pack Backpack item
- CB-9 Explosive Crossbow
- Exo-44 Mech Suit
- Exo-48 Mech Suit
- R-36 Eruptor Battle Rifle
- SG-8P Punisher Plasma Shotgun
What's new about this leak is that it confirmed the existence of two mech suits, the EXO-44 and EXO-48 suits, and more details about the weaponry.
Besides the weapons and mechs, this leak showcased two very useful items that are expected to become staples for all Helldivers. The BX-7 Displacer Pack is a backpack item that teleports players to safety when facing imminent danger. Additionally, the B-1 Supply Pack allows players to replenish ammunition on the battlefield.
The leak also showcased a new armoured buggy, enabling Helldivers 2 squads to swiftly traverse terrain while engaging enemies with a mounted machine gun. With its striking resemblance to Halo's Warthog, this vehicle has captured the interest of numerous Helldivers 2 enthusiasts online.
As more and more upcoming elements of the game continue to be leaked and as more and more issues with the game get resolved, the Arrowhead team should prepare themselves for another huge wave of new Helldivers.
