A leak has revealed that Teemo, one of the most iconic and divisive champions in League of Legends, is set to receive an Art and Sustainability Update (ASU).
This update follows in the footsteps of recent ASUs, like the one for Lee Sin, and comes as Riot Games continues to refresh older characters with modern visuals and animations.
Apparently, a few champion updates have been silently cooked up by Riot Games, with Teemo's ASU being the next big one in line. Although the update isn't announced, a sneak peek into the new Teemo model just got leaked on social media, giving them an idea of what to expect.
The leaked video showcases several key changes to Teemo’s appearance and animations. Most noticeably, more defined legs are found on the Teemo character model, a characteristic many fans have latched onto. His movement animation has also been updated to be smoother and more fluid, while casting animations are now much more clear and visible.
Additionally, Teemo’s infamous mushrooms, which he plants on the battlefield, have been redesigned to appear as though they are burrowed into the ground, adding a new layer of visual depth to his abilities.
While the video does not show the complete view and all the changes, it is quite obvious that the ASU of Teemo is one step toward modernizing him, while preserving the charm that made this little fellow a favorite or nemesis to many gamers throughout the years.
According to the leak, Teemo’s ASU is scheduled to hit the Public Beta Environment (PBE) on September 24, 2024. After the testing phase, it is expected to be released to the live servers with Patch 14.20 on October 9, 2024.
