According to the latest listing from the Swedish gaming retailer Spelbutiken, Sucker Punch's action-adventure Ghost of Tsushima is scheduled to release on 30 August 2019. The leaked date was quickly removed by the retailer though.
Ever since the official reveal back at SIE’s Paris Games Week in October 2017 and E3 2018's gameplay footage, Sucker Punch Productions haven't really talked much about their upcoming action-adventure Ghost of Tsushima.
While many were impressed by the gameplay footage and wanted to know more about the title, Sucker Punch only responded that they are glad to finally share their "painful secret" with the world and that more details will be revealed as soon as they have something to talk about.
Fast forward to March 2019 and Sucker Punch are still silent, however, details about the game's release date have surfaced in the latest leak. According to the Swedish gaming retailer Spelbutiken, Ghost of Tsushima is scheduled to release on 30 August 2019.
The listing on Spelbutiken website revealed the date along with the price and PEGI 18 rating which is yet to be officially revealed.
Of course, just like with any other leak and especially the release date leaks from retailers, take this one with a huge grain of salt as many times they were proven to be wrong. It's also possible that Spelbutiken used the date as a placeholder and not an actual release date.

All in all, it's highly unlikely that Sony will publish Ghost of Tsushima in late August 2019. The scale of the game and the lack of details from Sucker Punch are some valid reasons why 2020 could be seen as a more probable release date for the samurai adventure.
Ghost of Tsushima is set on Tsushima Island during the first Mongol invasion of Japan, it features a huge open world and a samurai combat system, which, judging by the gameplay, looks like one of the game's strongest features.
Ghost of Tsushima is exclusive for PlayStation 4.
