Offworld Industries, the studio behind Starship Troopers: Extermination, has released a new trailer for its cooperative shooter, containing great looks at some of the worlds on which fans will be fighting and the varied array of insectoid enemies with whom they will grapple.
The latest trailer pulls back from the various gameplay shown to date and looks more about what it feels like to be a Starship Trooper - showing the real challenges players will have when trying to fight back against hordes of giant bugs while working through a variety of objectives.
The trailer also features the announcement that Starship Troopers: Extermination will finally leave early access on October 11. That date doesn't just bring full release on PC but also the launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, opening the fight to a much wider audience.
In Starship Troopers: Extermination, players take on the role of one of 16 members of a team that conducts drops onto hostile planets to complete a series of missions.
Those missions tend to ramp up to large-scale defense scenarios in which players must construct and fortify structures against relentless waves of enemies before they extract successfully off the planet. Teamwork and strategy are critical in every mission, so the game mandates cooperative play.
As we inch closer towards the release date, so arrives the excitement of being able to get our hands on this—put simply, chock-full action co-op—in Starship Troopers: Extermination.
Delivering right on every point of action, strategy, and teamwork when finally launching this October, it has a lot in store.
