Stalker 2 has a new trailer with nostalgic places to be seen as well as interesting details that the fans picked up on.

Stalker 2 has been in development for a long time and Russia's invasion of Ukraine certainly didn't help the development issues.

GSC Game World previously relocated a portion of the team to Czech Republic but some of them stayed behind to defend their homeland, which unsurprisingly moved the release window to 2023.

With the latest trailer, GSC noted this is still the planned release window and while there is no exact release date or month, there is a lot Stalker fans will like in the new video.

For example, there are glimpses of the general and inventory UI, the latter of which put smiles on many faces since it looks a lot like what the previous games used.

Some other things got modernised though, with the weaponry being the first thing to be noticed. There are new guns that can be used, including an AR platform that is being used with a holosight.

While the attachment was known before from an earlier trailer, this one features it more extensively. On the topic of attachments, it is worth noting that the MP5 in the video uses a drum magazine while the AK is using a twin mag for quicker reloads.

One step away from the old games that the fans will probably like is that the game is now in open world instead of having loading screens between areas.
