Pokemon Go New Year event date, time, featured and more

Niantic unveiled the details surrounding the Pokemon GO event as we head into 2023.

Pokemon Go will have a New Year event running from Saturday, December 31, 2022, at 8:00 PM to Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at 8:00 PM local time.

Niantic noted that Pikachu wearing a party top hat will be making a debut and you might even encounter a Shiny one.

Hoothoot wearing a New Year's outfit will now be able to evolve into Noctowl wearing a New Year's outfit.

1/2 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in an Incubator during the event period
1/4 Hatch Distance for the first three Eggs hatched during the event using the Pokémon GO Egg hatching widget
