Insomniac Games have taken to Twitter to confirm what we've all been anxious to learn ever since Sony's PS5 demo - Spider-Man: Miles Morales will run 4K at 60FPS.
In their latest Twitter post, Insomniac wrote, "Swing through the city like never before on PS5 with an optional 4K / 60fps Performance Mode", showing off some traditionally dizzying Spidey-swings to go with it.
Now, it's well worth saying that this is one of those comparisons that's being unfairly thrown around, especially since 30FPS on consoles feels far more fluid than on PC. Nevertheless, the two are constantly being bonafide weaponised against devs, so it's nice to know Insomniac won't catch any flak.
Spider-Man: Miles Morales is somewhat of a transitional title, as it's meant to showcase PlayStation 5's capabilities. Expect near-instant loading, raytracing and some polished DualSense gameplay, which we're quite excited for after seeing the DualSense demo .
As a result, Spider-Man: Miles Morales will not be the length of the original title, but it's not just an expansion either.
"You'll experience a full story arc with Miles, one that's more akin to a game like Uncharted: The Lost Legacy in terms of overall scope. Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is an important, heartfelt, emotional and essential experience to expanding the Marvel's Spider-Man universe. And we hope it will be for you as well", they said recently.
Having performed better than anyone expected - and we expected a lot - Spider-Man quickly made a name as one of the best games PS4 has seen, and easily the best Spidey game ever. Hopefully, Insomniac make it two for two, and we can't think of many better titles to show PlayStation 5 in all its glory.
