Insomniac Games has released a new cinematic trailer for Marvel’s Wolverine. The trailer offers no new gameplay footage but provides another glimpse at the PlayStation 5 exclusive before it launches on September 15.
“Ain’t No Hero” doesn’t offer much of Wolverine’s brutal gameplay as shown in prior previews but instead opts to shine a light on the character’s personality and darker tone of the game’s story. Insomniac’s newest Wolverine trailer comes hot off of the extended gameplay debut from during PlayStation’s latest State of Play presentation.
Marvel’s Wolverine is shaping up to be one of Sony’s biggest first-party games of 2026 and the latest trailer only adds to the hype.Instead of focusing on gameplay Insomniac’s newest CGI trailer highlights Wolverine’s history as an antihero.
The trailer’s title references Wolverine’s persona for doing things his own way and not being your typical hero. This latest trailer comes after Insomniac Games previously shared gameplay that saw Wolverine join forces with Jean Grey to save a group of mutants from kidnapping.
During that gameplay reveal were also multiple confirmed characters that fans will encounter in Marvel’s Wolverine. Sabertooth was seen joining Logan for what looks like a short period of the story. Some other confirmed characters include Leech, Omega Red, and even the Sentinels.
Insomniac Games has also addressed if Marvel’s Wolverine will get a physical release or not after reports surfaced about Sony possibly changing its plans for physical PS5 games.
Insomniac reassured players that Wolverine would indeed get a disc version as its release is far before Sony would even implement any of these changes. Marvel’s Wolverine will launch on PlayStation 5 exclusively on September 15, 2026. While we wait for the game’s release you can check out the new trailer above.
