Shiro Games, the developer known for titles such as Dune: Spice Wars, Wartales, and the recently announced SpaceCraft has announced its next project – Farever, an online co-op action RPG. The game was officially announced during the PC Gaming Show and is planned to launch in beta on PC via Steam in 2025.
Faraver gameplay, characters and exploration
The game is set in a fantasy world called Siagarta, and it's a mix of solo and co-op online play. Players will be able to choose from ten character classes at full launch, with four available during Early Access, and take on roles such as tank, damage dealer, or support. Combat is focused on weapon-based abilities, with over 100 weapons available, each tied to a unique skill.
Shiro Games have put an emphasis on open-ended exploration with environments that feature platforming, puzzles, and combat encounters. Farever will also scale content based on party size and roles, including boss fights and larger events like Rift Invasions, which bring waves of enemies into the game world. This way, combat won't feel like a cakewalk when in groups and it won't be overly challenging when solo.

Outside of combat, Farever incorporates gathering and crafting mechanics. Players can take on professions such as blacksmithing or cooking, using collected resources to create equipment and other useful items.
“In Farever, adventure is always around the corner,” said Shiro Games CEO Nicolas Cannasse. “We’re thrilled to reveal the game during the PC Gaming Show and can’t wait to invite players to Siagarta for co-op exploration when Farever comes to Steam.”
The game is currently in development, with more details expected ahead of its beta release next year. Players can wishlist Farever on Steam and follow updates on social media via X, Facebook, Instagram, and Bluesky.
