Sherlock Holmes will peer into the depths of madness next month as the latest entry in the series has gone gold.
Frogwares confirmed that Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened has gone gold and can safely announce the release date is April 11, 2023.
The game is now content complete and playable from start to finish so it's probably just polishing and sales preparation from now on until the big launch day.
Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened is set to release simultaneously on all platforms - PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch.
Frogwares also announced that there will be three editions of the game available, some exclusive to certain platforms.
Standard Edition, which will set you back $40 / €40 is available on all platforms.
Deluxe Edition, standing at $50 / €50 is also available on all platforms while the most expensive one, Premium Edition will cost $55 / €55 is only available on PC.
Additionally, having a release date means the game can now launch pre-orders, which will result in a few bonuses, such as three custom outfits for Holmes and Watson.
Considering that Frogwares is a Ukrainian developer, it is quite amazing they were able to release The Awakened so close to Chapter One, which came out in 2021, giving them only two years for the development of the Lovecraftian episode, with the past year being largely disrupted by the Russian invasion.
