From blockbusters to small indie titles, the month of April has some really interesting titles in store for us. These are the top five games that we are looking forward to playing as well as the list of all games that come out this month.
After a very strong start to the year in which we were able to play some big hits, March was a bit quieter in terms of big releases. In April, however, we have several really interesting games and really big titles to look forward to.
This month, we'll be able to play long-awaited hits like Dead Island 2 and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor , as well as an intriguing expansion and a slew of other "smaller" titles.
So without further ado, let's jump into it and see what big games await us in April 2023.
Five most anticipated games in April 2023
Horizon: Forbidden West - Burning Shores expansion
This month, we'll see Aloy again and follow her on a new Hollywood adventure in the Horizon Forbidden West expansion, Burning Shores. Burning Shores is an expansion for Horizon: Forbidden West, which will be available only for the PlayStation 5 version of the game this time, so we can expect improved graphics because the design of the DLC will not be constrained by the limitations of the PlayStation 4 console.
The game will also include new features such as fast diving with the help of Waterwing, new machines, and an entirely new region.
Horizon: Forbidden West: Burning Shores will become available on April 19, 2023, for PlayStation 5.
The Last Case of Benedict Fox
The Last Case of Benedict Fox is a 2D detective game that places us in the shoes of a detective who is aided throughout the game by a demonic companion who grants him the ability to communicate with recently deceased people. As a result, our detective will solve cases that an ordinary investigator would be unable to solve.
The Last Case of Benedict Fox will be available for Xbox One , Xbox Series X|S , and PC beginning April 27. It will also be available on Game Pass from the beginning.
Minecraft: Legends
We all know that Minecraft is one of the most popular games of all time, and you can either love it or despise it; there is no in-between. However, because it is not a traditional Minecraft game, Minecraft Legends may appeal to a broader audience. It is an action strategy game set in the world of Minecraft in which we will control one character as well as units in battle, and the game will also be available in four-player co-op.
Minecraft Legends comes out on April 18, 2023, for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch .
Dead Island 2
This month, ten years after the original, we will finally be able to play the long-awaited Dead Island 2. The action of this first-person survivor will now take place in California, which has been attacked by a zombie infestation, and our mission, as in the first game, should be to chop them up in the most brutal ways possible using a wide variety of melee weapons and firearms.
Dead Island 2 has been in development for quite some time, and we hope that it will not disappoint, but based on the promotional material, we are expecting a lot of fun with beautiful graphics and a large open world.
Dead Island will become available on April 21, 2023, for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
Following the huge success of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and the positive response from fans, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will have even higher ambitions than its predecessor. The world in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor should be much larger, with more planets to explore. Given that it will only be available for new consoles and PC, the game should be noticeably better in terms of graphics than its predecessor. In addition, the fight will be significantly improved, and we will have companions who will occasionally assist us in combat.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will hit the stores on April 28, 2023, and once it is released, it will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
