NetherRealm have officially revealed two new characters that will appear in Mortal Kombat 11. Noob Saibot returns as the latest fighter to join the standard character roster while the villain Shang Tsung will appear as first DLC character.

We're only one month away from the official release of the upcoming brutal fighter Mortal Kombat 11, and many details such as full character roster are yet to be unveiled by the developer NetherRealm Studios.

Of course, have already booked their place in the eleventh major instalment in the iconic fighting series but there are still a couple of slots left and today, NetherRealm have announced two new fighters are returning to Mortal Kombat 11.

The first one is the ninja assassin Noob Saibot who arrives straight into Mortal Kombat 11's base game fighter roster after missing out on a place in Mortal Kombat X. Noob Saibot's trailer reveals his fast attacks and use of shadow doppelganger along with one of his fatalities that rip poor Sub Zero into pieces.

The addition of Noob Saibot means that Mortal Kombat 11's character roster now counts 21 confirmed fighters along with two additional DLC characters.

Speaking about DLC characters, NetherRealm also announced that a powerful, deadly sorcerer and a primary villain in the Mortal Kombat franchise, Shang Tsung will be the game's first DLC fighter.

Shang Tsung is one of the most iconic characters in the game, but what makes this reveal even cooler is that he is being voiced and modelled after Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, the man who played Shang Tsung in 1995's Mortal Kombat film. In the trailer below you can see him in his Castle on Shang Tsung's island and he will basically be your guide in The Krypt.

Mortal Kombat 11 is out on 23 April 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Switch and for more news about NetherRealms upcoming title, check out the start date, characters and game modes.
