Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 reviews from various press outlets and content creators are now live and as expected, the reception for Ninja Theory's narrative action-adventure is mostly positive.
At the time of writing, Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 has a score of 82 on Metacritic with some mixed reviews that criticise the game for playing it too safe with dull puzzles and often boring gameplay. On the other hand, most reviewers agree that Ninja Theory created the best-looking game of all time.
On the OpenCritic platform, the game got a recommendation from 87 per cent of reviewers, which is certainly impressive but the overall score is a bit lower, sitting at 83 out of 100.
In our review, which you can check out here, we praised the game's story, character development and cinematic presentation thanks to incredibly realistic visual and sound design. We also mention that Hellblade 2 lacks innovation and it's too similar to the first game, which is the only downside in this otherwise stunning video game.

Overall, Microsoft should be happy with the general critical reception of Hellblade 2, even though, they probably expected a bit higher scores. To us, the average scores on Metacritic and Opencritic don't come as a surprise since the first game also had a similar metascore.
Hellblade series certainly isn't for everyone and that's completely fine.
