Ninja Theory and Xbox love to show new Hellblade 2 footage at The Game Awards and this year, it's no different as we got to see the most impressive trailer yet for this upcoming Xbox exclusive, which keeps blowing us away with each new reveal.
The new trailer focuses on combat and gameplay, showing Senua engaged in bloody and intense sword fights with both human and non-human enemies. Overall, the combat does look similar to the first game but with better animations and more brutal executions which is somewhat we expected to see from the sequel.
Additionally, we got to see some dark new locations and incredibly lifelike character models. Ninja Theory really outdone themselves with this one in terms of visuals and we really can't wait to see more in the coming months.
The trailer also gives off a strong impression that Hellblade 2 will play pretty much like the first game so expect a linear experience with a strong focus on the story and twisting realities. Obviously, this is not a bad thing as Senua's Sacrifice was a true masterpiece in many aspects.
Unfortunately, we did not get a specific release date for Hellblade 2. The game still has a release date of 2024, which suggests it may arrive in the second part of next year.
We should be hearing more about Hellblade 2: Senua's Saga in the coming months as the game gets closer to launch on PC, Xbox Series X/S and Game Pass.
