New Resident Evil game is in the works and should arrive sometime in 2021, reliable horror leaker AestethicGamer claims. Apparently, the game will be the biggest departure the series has ever taken and many people will not be happy about that.
Capcom just recently released Resident Evil 3 Remake but the work on more Resident Evil games is not stopping. Quite the contrary, according to the latest info from a reliable leaker AesthericGamer, Capcom have been working on the next major Resident Evil game for quite some time now.
Apparently, the development of the game started way back in 2016, which means that by the time it releases, it will be in development for 4 to 5 years. This Resident Evil title is currently scheduled for release in 2021 and its development is similar to the original Resident Evil 3, not the remake. Sadly, the leaker did not explain what exactly this means.
On top of this, the game will be announced "really soon" and it is "the biggest departure the series has ever taken". AestheticGamer claims that many people will not be happy with Capcom's decision but apparently, the internal testing shows the game is "high-quality" and the leaker is personally excited about it.
Now, you should take this rumour with a grain of salt, just like any other leak or unofficial info but AestheticGamers has a pretty solid track record and it would not surprise us if the leak is actually true, especially after the earlier rumours about werewolves and ghosts .
All in all, until Capcom officially announce the new game, you'll have plenty off Resident Evil content to try, starting with Resident Evil 3 Remake and Resistance spin-off.
