God of War Ragnarok gameplay could be coming sooner than you may expect. According to the latest rumours, this PlayStation blockbuster is set to be showcased at the Sony summer games showcase.

SIE Santa Monica's God of War Ragnarok is set for a proper reveal very soon. Industry insider Nick Baker aka Shpeshal Nick states that we will see first gameplay from Kratos' next adventure at Sony's show, which is rumoured for this summer, perhaps July or August.

"I'm being told we'll see our first gameplay of the new God of War at Sony's show too. Will be exciting to see," Baker tweeted today.

As you may recall, God of War Ragnarok was announced last year at Sony's big summer showcase but since then, we didn't get any updates from the devs, except the news about the delay.

If Sony indeed have plans for a big games showcase event, which they should have to be honest since Xbox have took the spotlight with the fantastic event this month, then we expect to see God of War Ragnarok as one of the biggest highlights along with some surprises.

But as always with leaks and rumours, a dose of skepticism is required, so we suggest you wait for the official confirmation that the event is happening before getting all excited about God of War Ragnarok gameplay.

God of War is coming to both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 sometime in 2022.
