Fans have been speculating about the future of the God of War series since that emotional but conclusive finale of God of War Ragnarok. Some hope that Kratos has one more adventure in him that would see the Spartan pay a visit to the gods of Egypt while others are not so sure about another story revolving around the beloved but grumpy old dad.
Sony Santa Monica Studio are probably already brainstorming about where to take the God of War series next and one of the ideas they could consider comes from none other than Danielle Bisutti, the actress who played Freya in both God of War (2018) and God of War: Ragnarok.

Speaking at the MCM Birmingham Comic Con, Danielle hinted that she would be delighted to work with Santa Monica Studio again, potentially on a standalone Freya game, that could explore the the unique friendship of Kratos and Freya.
"Whenever Santa Monica Studios says to me: ‘Let’s explore more of Freya’, I would love to see where her relationship with Kratos goes - such a beautiful friendship forged from grief and transformation.”
The chances of this happening are probably on the low side but never say never. It's possible that we get a smaller, spin-off game featuring Freya but it's not quite clear where would such a game go in terms of story.
Perhaps, there is some room to explore Freya and her adventures that took place before God of War 2018, when she had a quibble with Odin who put a curse on her but I know I won't be getting my hopes up for such a game until Sony give us something official.
It's certainly great that Danielle is eager to work on more video games with Santa Monica Studio as she did an impeccable job in portraying Freya in both titles.
Perhaps Santa Monica Studio could find her a role on their new, mysterious project, which should be seeing the light of the day sometime in the near future. Who knows.
