As a tribute to League of Legends early legend Maciej “Shushei” Ratuszniak Riot Games is distributing the Fnatic Gragas skin to all players.
Shushei fought cancer for many years before passing away on April 28, 2025 as one of the game’s foundational stars. Shushei achieved fame during the inaugural League of Legends World Championship event which took place in 2011.
As a fundamental member of Fnatic with xPeke, Cyanide, LamiaZealot, and Mellisan Shushei achieved greatness in League of Legends history when he led his team to victory against “against All authority” for the EU's first World Championship title.
Shushei's powerful Gragas gameplay during the tournament turned the Fnatic Gragas skin into a permanent tribute to his victory and lasting influence on the game.
After retiring in 2013 Shushei kept his status as a respected figure in the Polish esports community while he continued to inspire numerous players both locally and internationally.
The passing of Shushei has left long-time fans and professional players deeply saddened because many recognize him as a pioneer who shaped competitive League of Legends.
Players worldwide can honor his legacy by receiving a free Fnatic Gragas skin after participating in three games as Gragas according to Riot Games.
Players can honor Shushei’s memory by using the champion skin he helped immortalize until the offer expires on Monday, June 2.
Riot's tribute acts as a commemoration while reminding players of the enduring influence left by esports figures like Shushei.
