So, Season 3 of Apex Legends is named Meltdown and the official launch date is 01 October 2019. Along with it comes Crypto, which has nothing to do with currency, despite EA's recent tweet that suggested players should "invest in Crypto".
"Cool, calm, collected Crypto deploys specialized surveillance drones to stay in the fight and out of the spotlight", the dev wrote, and it's not much different from what the earlier data mines said.
There's also been the , but that didn't reveal much other than the fact Apex Legends' new character shirks away from the spotlight. We're talking about his hurried retreat from the Labs area, where he's been spotted hacking.
As you can see from the Apex Legends' trailer Stories From the Outlands, which is very cyberpunk-themed if we may add, Crypto's story begins with finding out a way to tell the winners of Apex Legends matches. It's safe to assume that his brush with the law, or whoever is after him, eventually turns him to a world of crime.
Apex Legends Season 3 brings the new Battle Pass as well, and Respawn promising more than 100 exclusive items, which includes legendary skins, Apex Packs, new Battle Pass content, etc.
There's also the new weapon - Charge Rifle, about which Respawn wrote, "Carve your way across the Arena with this obliterating directed-energy weapon."
There are still 10 days to go until Season 3 of Apex Legends officially kicks off, and we're guessing that Respawn will reveal much more until then, as we're pretty sure many fans are anxious to learn about Crypto as well as the new Battle Pass offerings.
