Respawn Entertainment have announced the Apex Legends Preseason Invitational for September 2019, and we're talking about live and online competitions that will culminate with a tournament in Krakow, Poland, with the prize pool of $500,000.

The first Apex Legends competition was the EXP Pro-Am Apex Legends Exhibition sponsored by ESPN. It took place in Los Angeles, California, on 11 July 2019, with a $25,000 prize pool that went to charity.

Respawn scheduled the EXP Invitational at X Games for 02-03 August 2019 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with a prize pool of $150,000 and even some medals to be handed around.

This tournament is also sponsored by ESPN and the qualifications will be handled via invites and online qualifiers.

Apex Legends Preseason Invitational, however, takes a huge turn geographically speaking, as it takes place in Krakow, Poland. Respawn scheduled it for 13 September 2019 and it lasts for two days.

Qualifications for Apex Legends Preseason Invitational are invite-only and the prize pool stands at $500,000, not to mention that you get a chance to check out where the Witcher hails from. No, not the Netflix one.

Players who receive invitations to Apex Legends Preseason Invitational will have to register teams of 3 players, with a one-time registration fee of $150 for the team.

In their recent earnings call, EA suggested that Season 3 of Apex Legends will be the bee's knees, i.e. much better than Season 2, and while we're inclined to believe them due to the fact this is Respawn's work, we'll still reserve opinions for when we see it.

As for the upcoming changes, Respawn recently confirmed that console players of Apex Legends will be getting auto sprint, while all platforms will soon include a checkbox to disable of weapons when your ammo runs out, so as to prevent scenarios where your attempt to do so reverts back to the same weapon.
