Speaking to OPM UK, Capcom's Peter Fabiano said that Resident Evil Village fans should be pleased to hear it is quite a bit bigger than Resident Evil 7 Biohazard.
If you're a die-hard Resident Evil fan, you can find the interview in OPM UK's issue 158. You'll probably want to pick it up if you're a PlayStation 5 owner as Fabiano also talks about the console's SSD and audio capabilities.
The part that players are likely to be most interested in, however, is his comparison of Resident Evil Village to RE 7 Biohazard. "I’ll just say it’s much larger than what players experienced in Resident Evil VII: Biohazard", he noted.
Granted, measuring RE 7 Biohazard's size is a bit difficult, which is why these interviews eventually wind down to game length in hours. Unfortunately, Fabiano didn't want to comment on that just yet.
In the meantime, Capcom's trailers and Resident Evil Village's gorgeous demo drummed up quite the excitement. Lady Dimitrescu has quickly established herself as a fan favourite, which should undeniably prove that size does matter.
Resident Evil VIllage's main lady is almost 3 meters tall, and the design team were quite delighted with the reception.
Disregarding her, ahem, charming looks, she and her creepy accomplices should make Resident Evil Village a pretty memorable experience. "These bewitching, vampiric characters are relentless in their pursuit of Ethan and I can't wait for you to meet them yourselves when you enter Castle Dimitrescu in May", said the game's art designed Tomonori Takano.
Capcom's latest financial results showed they've had an excellent year in 2020, with their profits driven by Resident Evil 3 and Monster Hunter: World, so this year it's hopefully the same with Village.
Thanks, PSU .
